Renovation of NCDC Building

This project entailed the comprehensive renovation and refurbishment of Block A at the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) premises, upgrading the facility to provide a modern, functional, and technology-enabled working environment for NCDC staff.

Site Mobilisation: Establishment of site facilities, protection of existing furniture and equipment, and implementation of dust and noise management measures to minimise disruption to NCDC operations during the renovation works.

Demolitions: Controlled demolition and removal of redundant partitions, false ceilings, outdated fixtures and fittings, and worn floor finishes, with careful disposal of demolition debris.

Tiling Works: Supply and installation of new ceramic or porcelain floor tiles and wall tiles in washrooms, corridors, and other designated areas, with appropriate adhesives, grout, and edge trim.

Plastering and Painting: Repair and reskimming of all damaged or uneven wall surfaces, followed by application of new emulsion paint on walls and ceilings in approved colours, including feature walls where specified.

Aluminium Door and Window Replacement: Removal of existing worn timber or steel door and window frames and replacement with new powder-coated aluminium frames with energy-efficient glazing, improving aesthetics, security, and weatherproofing.

Air Conditioning Installations: Supply and installation of modern split-type air conditioning units in offices, meeting rooms, and conference areas, including refrigerant pipework, drain lines, and electrical connections.

Overhead Projector and AV Installations: Supply and installation of overhead projectors, projection screens, speakers, and associated AV equipment in meeting rooms and training halls, with structured cabling for AV signal distribution.

Mechanical and Electrical Installations: Upgrading of electrical distribution boards, replacement of outdated wiring, installation of new energy-efficient LED lighting, provision of additional power outlets and data points, and servicing of plumbing and sanitary installations
